Why The Key West Florida Is Great Place For Elopement And Honeymoon

By Peter Estenoz

Key West Florida is one of the great places to hold a low key wedding ceremony that is both romantic and intimate and also to go for a honeymoon. It is a warm place to escape to during winter and has many romantic locations where a great small wedding can be held. Couples are offered many deals here with most going for the all inclusive that takes care of the ceremony together with the celebrations and honeymoon.

But first, legal issues must be sorted out first. The couple must be issued with a marriage license by Monroe County, or anywhere in the state of Florida, and they must produce some photo identification for this to happen. The couples do not have to be Florida residents but those that are will only have 3 days to wait for their license with a 60 days validity.

There are a number of locations available, both traditional and non traditional. Traditional venues include places like churches, or a beach, garden or park setting. The non traditional venues are places like Key Largo where couples can have an underwater ceremony.

Underwater ceremonies in the Gulf of Mexico's crystal clear and blue waters are made possible by chartered diving companies. Or how about a laid back wedding on a beautiful white sandy beach, surrounded by tropical palm trees?

If a couple does not want to have the usual huge after parties, they can instead choose to have a simple intimate dinner. Dinners offered here vary in terms of style and price. Caribbean or Cuban dishes as well as fresh seafood are among the delicacies that are prepared in most restaurants. Other options include a combination of boat and limo rides and private beach chair celebrations.

It is highly possible that those who go there to elope will find themselves sticking around longer than a few days for the honeymoon. There is quite a wide range of activities to enjoy there, from shared spa experiences to underwater adventures. Newlyweds also have the option to tour the natural history museum as well as the Crane museum over on Marathon Key. From both, visitors can view the natural surroundings with the Crane resting on the grounds where an ancient Indian village used to be.

Couples that have been dreaming of one day swimming with dolphins can do so at the dolphin research center. This place also has secluded spots where couples can go via ferry to just lay back and have a relaxing moment. Among the things that are covered at Key West, Florida are body massages, luxurious accommodations and gourmet dining.
