So if you think you want to give it a try, then better be prepared. You need to prepare because unlike other forms of recreation, you are dealing with bears. And everything that involves bears are sensitive. So to ensure that you have a fun and hassle free activity, take time to consider the guide below.

First, wear the proper attire. You do not go to a park or an aquarium. You go to somewhere remote and away from the city so be sure you are wearing the right clothing. As much as possible, avoid those clothing that will make your uncomfortable to move. Bring spare shirts just to be sure. If you are supposed to go to a mountainous area, bring hiking shoes. Do not forget your cap or jacket as well as the weather demands.

Store foods well. You will most likely be staying on developed campgrounds during your break time or lunch. When you do, be sure to bring with you the foods that you will need and store the remaining ones securely. Place them on the trunk of your car to be sure. Reports of bear robbing your car some foods is nothing new. They have strong smell and they can detect if you left something good for them on the passenger seat.

Three, avoid getting close to the bear. Watching these huge animals does not mean you have to sit beside them and watch them eat whatever they find interesting. There is an appropriate distance where you can view them. This is why cameras and telescopes may be a good part of your to pack gadgets. Getting closer might threaten them and may put you in danger.

Do not run away. If you do encounter one at a very close situation, do not ever think of running. Even if your instincts tell you to do so, just do not. You will lose. They run faster than you do and if you run first, they will interpret this as fleeing and will most likely come after you.

Five, pack with you a bear spray. This works just like the pepper spray to humans. Use this in extremely desperate scenarios and not randomly. Besides, these materials may not be permitted by some commercial planes.

Given the right preparation, the activity will surely be a great one for you and your family. Start planning now to check the necessary things you need for the trip. The more people who will go with you, the bigger the preparation.
