All the logs that are used to build the lodge are recycled from forest fire kill and many are one hundred and fifty years old. There are two stories with the first floor having sixteen rooms and the upper floor with seventeen rooms.
Another sight that many go to witness is the Beluga whales also known as the White whale. They do not have a dorsal fin and have a lump at the tip of its head. The male can grow up to eighteen feet in length and weigh about one thousand and six hundred kilograms. It is estimated that there are about one hundred and fifty thousand of these creatures and the majority spend their winters in the Arctic ice cap.
