Off Shore Fishing Has Become A Global Favorite As A Pastime

Fishing is a sport that both men and woman take great pleasure in doing. One is able to spend hours at a time in nature enjoying the peace and quiet. Recreational fishermen either do this from the shoreline, river bank or boat. Off shore fishing is said to be very exhilarating where one will become closer to nature while enjoying the wide open sea all around.

There are many charters that take people out and offer them expert advice when landing that big one. People especially fishermen and woman from all around the world flock to the The Cape of Good Hope in Cape Town. This specific area has a vast amount of different species all year round and because two great oceans meet the water is both warm as well as icy cold.

There are many different kayaks that one can choose and the first is the Fluid Bamba. It is made for both off shore as well an inland fishing. It has a large forward centre hatch and is made from a very durable plastic, Polyethylene. This little hatch is big enough to keep all tackle as well as rods of one and a half meters long, safe and dry.

The deeper waters off Cape Point are one of the best areas worldwide that have the Yellowfin Tuna. They come from an undersea canyon about forty miles off-shore and are plentiful in October until late June. They are how ever being caught year round and weight a massive twenty five to one hundred kilograms. They have gained a reputation as being one of the strongest fighting fish in the ocean.

The Longfin Tuna can also be found in large shoals and can range from ten to thirty five kilograms. They are caught in the same manner as the Yellowfin but seem to respond better when chum is thrown into the sea. There was a catch of over one hundred and fifty of these creatures caught in only a few hours.

In the warmer water currents the Mako, Blue Shark as well as the Dorado, Wahoo and Skipjack Tuna have been caught. The Blue and Striped Marlin have been seen and caught but only seem to make an appearance during February to April each year. One will always come back to shore with having caught something.

The Locomotion Kayak comes in a single or a double seat as well as a triple. It is able to link with other ones and the tie straps come together when purchasing the boats. Its length is two hundred and sixty four centimetres and the width is eighty one centimetres. It can carry a weight of up to one hundred and twenty kilograms and this one is very popular for a family outing.

The fishermen on this charter will even help young children to catch their very first fish. They cater for all ages as well as different levels of experience and those that have used them keep coming back each year. Nothing beats hearing the waves break on the side of the boat or getting sprayed by the sea out in the open while landing the "big one".
