Dublin, the Irish capital is one of Europe's coolest places with more than half of the population younger than 25 years old.

The city has a large personality as do it's people, which many say is due to it's weather that has resulted in the locals turning to humour and wit to keep themselves entertained on wet and drizzly nights.

St Patricks day is certainly not something to be missed if your around in March where the locals all dress up and there is drinking, dancing and a parade through the streets.

The Celtic and Gaelic history has a huge influence on the traditions and there is something unmistakably uplifting about the live folk music in Dublin performed in the streets as well as numerous establishments across town.

Hanging out in an Irish pub with great songs, dink and a few charismatic local is certainly why many people keep coming back time and again to this infectious city. The Guinness brewery is another highlight and Traditional Irish pubs are dotted around the city offering pints of the famous beer. The vibrant party atmosphere in Dublin extends all over the city through numerous areas, each with a unique energy. Temple bar is one of the most crowded and popular in the centre.

Dublin is situated at the mouth of the River Liffey and the harbour is picturesquely dotted with many boats. It has more green spaces per square kilometre than any other European capital city, with all of city residents living within easy walking distance of one park or another. Outside the city there are also many amazing walks through the wild and green countryside.

Dublin boasts with history and there are many famous attractions and typical monuments to visit. As well as the remainder of Ireland, the place features a particular air of mysticism and legend surrounding it, drumming up images of leprechauns and banshees. If you are there don't forget to visit the beautiful grounds of Trinity College and have a look at the Book of Kells. Irelands most famous book with ancient handwriting created by monks more than thousand years ago.
