Finding The Right Frontsight Ammo

By Ina Hunt

Guns and ammunition can be hard to find especially in large numbers. High quality weapons and accessories are considered valuable assets to many people. They collect them for show as well as for their functional uses. Large quantities of ammunition are collected by persons who enjoy hunting, range shootings, competition and training camps offered by private enterprises. Frontsight ammo is a very valuable resource for these individuals.

When prices for guns and ammunition began rising because of supply and demand issues Russel May opened a company designed to help keep the prices of these items at reasonable levels. One of the ways he accomplished this was to purchase in large quantities from the manufacturers. He was then able to sell them to his customers at a reduced price. Another method commonly used by retailers is to enter into agreements with manufacturers regarding the number of items planned to be purchased on a regular basis.

In addition to guns, ammunition and accessories Front Sight offers multiple training camps for clients who wish to immerse themselves in the proper use of their weapons. These camps last approximately one week and are designed to expose clients to every instance of situational weapon usage conceivable. Participants are able to rent the weapons from the site but must supply all of their own ammunition and other accessories. Dependent on what weapon you select this can add up to massive amounts of bullets the client needs to supply. Some weapons require up to sixteen hundred rounds at the beginning of the course.

As a safety measure there are rules regarding the types of bullets that can be used during these exercises. First and foremost you may not use any hand loads or reloaded rounds. Some factories offer re-manufactured rounds and these are also not permitted for use while training. The reloaded rounds create a danger of exploding to the user because of incorrect powder amounts or damaged cases. An explosion of this kind can cause injury to hands, arms and face.

Only metal jacketed rounds are allowed to be used on the courses. They cannot be steel jacketed bullets or any other kind of incendiary round including tracer rounds. Lead rounds are acceptable as long as they have metal jackets.

You can purchase your ammunition anywhere and most of the best known name brands are usable on the course. Remington and Winchester are just two examples of acceptable rounds. Purchasing the ammunition prior to arrival can create a problem for some attendees. Transportation to the site and storage of the ammunition until actual arrival can create issues because of the excessive weight that can be involved.

Having the ammunition shipped to the training site is not possible because of space and safety issues. They will accept delivery and store your ammunition if you have purchased it from the Front Sight Pro shop. Another solution would be to ship it to the hotel you have reserved and ask them to hold it in your name until you arrive.

The goal of Front Sight Firearms has always been to supply affordable weapons, accessories and ammunition to their customers. The programs they offer and the products they have for clients bring them closer to this goal as time passes.
