The Grand Canyon in Arizona is often referred to as one of the seven natural wonders of the world. When people visit, they usually conjugate at the South Rim so if you go during the summer season you can expect it to be quite crowded. At the South Rim, the Grand Canyon is 4,500 feet deep and has an elevation of 7,000 feet. Overall the Grand Canyon measures approximately 10 miles wide and is about 277 miles long. Although you can visit it on foot, with all that space to cover you might want to consider a train or a mule!

Fall in Arizona is a wonderful place for bird watchers. You can enjoy hiking thorough one of many state parks while you look at the beautiful scenery and birds. Cochise County is known to be one of the finest bird watching locations in the whole United States. You can spot up to 400 various different bird species. A visit to the west coast of Arizona is likely to earn you a glimpse at some of the rarest birds in the country.

If you love to look at breathtaking scenery and unforgettable views, Sedona is where it is at! The breathtaking red rock formations at gorgeous no matter when you visit them. They are just as majestic when they are covered in snow as they are in the summer months.

Another one of the most popular attractions are the Ghost Towns. These are former mining towns where people used to come to live after leaving California. Most of them make a nice day trip although there are some you might want to spend even more time at. Many of them offer the opportunity to search for treasures and include mining activities so you can get a feel for what it used to be like.
