Business Tips When Travelling

By Poppy Hill

Anyone who is heading out on a business trip will know the difficulty in travelling with suitcases and how easy they can become lost or stolen at airports. You could spend most of your time awaiting details and filling out forms of your stolen property. The main tip from a former business traveller is to buy at least two suitcases and keep one in the loft as spare. Pack your luggage with any spare toiletries as this will save you when you leave for your trip as your suitcase will be already packed.

A good saving tip is to stock up on little pieces of toiletries which you can buy from the local shops. You can stock up on their buy one get one free offers which always seems to be in abundance these days. By spliting your items into both cases equally this means that at any one time you are ready to go as your case will be already packed saving you time and also money not needing to purchase last minute items for your trip.

The men on business trips are restricted by shirt and ties at a meeting but woman can jazz up their suits by wearing different accessories along with their suits such as jewellery or scarves you can reinvent your business suit quick and simply each day. Tips for packing underwear would be to place them in your shoes and only pack lightly with the essentials.

Nearly all business people will select a plane as their mode of transport. Journeys of less than 4 hours may be better going by train as most trains now have WiFi and you can continue working while travelling so on arrival you can sit back and relax knowing that you have completed a days work while travelling.

Think about travelling by air can be a bit of a miss match as your check-in time to the airline is normally 2 hour or 3 hours before take off not forgetting all the standing around in security lines, Just add up all the time differences to see which one suits your journey best.

One last tip is to travel and stay in a hotel which accommodates office and business travellers. There is nothing worse than arriving at a hotel then discovering that there is no fax machine or computer or printer and no internet connection.

Make sure you have mobile phone connection if you land in a new country. Checking with your cell phone supplier is always a good idea before travel as you do not want to be left high and dry with no one to contact back home.
