Bournemouth Places Of Interest

By Poppy Hill

The south of England has some of the most specular scenery in the UK. A popular resort for sunbathing in the area is a town called Bournemouth. In the summer months this resort is very popular with tourists and locals alike.

A glorious sandy beach which starts here and ends at the end of Southbourne can be walked by beach lovers or take a small tourist train which travels hourly along the promenade. In the summer there are a lot of exchange students living here due to the number of English schools available to them. Making the area more of a cosmopolitan feel to the area. A number of tourist sites to visit in the area is Alume Chimes, Boscombe for the surfing and the Bournemouth gardens.

Heading along the coast visitors will find themselves in Poole with harbour and quay and boat trips to all the surrounding islands. This is an ideal place for sea lovers as boats are always coming and going even at night time. There is a summer fest on at the quay each week with a different event each night from vintage cars on display to fireworks going off last thing at night from the quay. Not forgetting the local park or attractions close by.

Swanage is a lovely little coastal town with the added advantage of a ferry crossing direct from Poole. Book yourself in for a Dorset cream tea in any one of the sea front cafs or walk along the prom eating an ice cream in the summer. The town is small but has lots of charm.

As the coast line is diverse you can experience any number of different activities to suit your party. A visit to the New Forest may be of interest to you or the many themes parks in the area or perhaps a train ride to Brighton or London may be on your agenda. There will be something for everyone in this area.
