One of the main reasons why people go to Europe is to get involved with the wonderful culture and history that exists there. Each and every nation within Europe has hundreds or thousands of years of history behind it and as such the culture that has been built up has a number of different layers. There are plenty of great holiday destinations in Europe so let's quickly identify some of the best options.

When you go in Europe will really come down to what sort of holiday you are looking for. If you are looking for a city break and then you really will have almost unlimited options. The capital cities of the major countries in Europe offer such a wonderful blend of architecture, culture, and history that it can be very difficult to choose between them.

If it is not a city break that you want to enjoy during your trip then there are plenty of other options. Many people go on holiday to experience mountains and beaches and Europe really doesn't let you down here either.

If it is beaches that you want to visit then the Iberian coast is certainly the best option available to you. Spain and Portugal, coupled with the South of France to the north east, offer some wonderful and luxurious peaches and tourist resorts. You could also consider one of the many island groups such as the Balearics, Canaries, and Greek islands as well.

England and France mark themselves out as two of the most popular holiday destinations within Europe as well. On a single trip to the continent it is very easy to take in a visit to both of these. They are only separated by a short stretch of water and navigating between them is extremely simple. In addition, by seeing them both you can really get a feel for some of the old rivalries that have existed over the years.

At the end of the day Europe has no end of attractions. Whether you want to go and lounge on the beach or see a beautiful city you will have plenty of options to choose from.
